ABB Rolling Road Show-Part A: Variable Torque Apps, Part B: Harmonic Issues 1:00-3:00 pm
Topics: Harmonics, Variable Torque Applications, LV ACX550 & 800’s
Facilitator: Larry Stanley
Description: Via this session we will discuss the Low Voltage ACX550 and ACS800 product lines as it satisfies applications up to 6000HP while maintaining IEEE519 harmonic guidelines. We will look at what harmonics are, where they come from and why they are important to mitigate on the power distribution system. We will also discuss why it is useful to consider variable frequency drives in variable torque applications such as pumps & fans for both control and energy savings.
