Introduction

Regional Center for Advanced Manufacturing

The Regional Center for Advanced Manufacturing (RCAM) is an offsite teaching facility for Northeast State Community College located in downtown Kingsport, Tennessee in the "Kingsport Academic Village". RCAM is the Northeast State branded outreach for industrial advanced manufacturing training & education and is home to Northeast State Office of Economic & Workforce Development.

The RCAM is "powered by the Advanced Manufacturing Partnership", AMP as it is commonly known. AMP is a public/private partnership made up of an advisory committee focused on addressing workforce development issues related to advanced manufacturing. With industry, education, and government working together, the AMP has proven to be an effective engine for the RCAM.

Northeast State’s Career & Workforce Development Center serves students, alumni, and community members in all aspects of career and professional planning.

A dedicated staff is available to assist with career coaching, resume development, cover letters, interviewing and job search. The office can assist individuals with clarifying their objectives and establishing career goals, which will enable them to fulfill their personal potential. To help individuals clarify their career goals, guidance is provided through career interest assessments and exploration of occupations. Additionally, staff at the Career and Workforce Development Center stay abreast of regional career opportunities to help students connect to jobs that fit their skills, interests, and employment needs.

The Career & Workforce Development Center is a proud partner of Handshake, an online career services platform, where individuals can access job postings, career-related events, and additional career development resources. Students, alumni, and community members are invited to create an account in the Handshake system to access job postings and career resources 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.
